Position Overview Job Title- (Senior) Test Lead & Deployment Engineer Location- Pune Job Description The business which this development team is supporting is the lending department within Private Bank Germany. The whole life cycle for mortgage and consumer loans as well as securitization solutions for these loans is covered within the department and supported by the several teams. PB-GY MDI Team is looking for experienced Test Lead and Deployment Engineer within our Private Banking Shared Applications division. Like the name implies, the role requires the candidate to display a high degree of personal ownership for the assigned application(s). He or she should be well organized and be capable to set individual and group priorities. Within the Shared Applications area teamwork and cross domain communication and cooperation are the primary keys to our success. The MDI is in a steady expanding mode to integrate and offer services in a dynamical evolving environment. To extend and maintain these services, an experienced QA Engineer with Deployment experience, is required. This role includes the design and execution of test cases for validating the functional and technical requirements of the application. Furthermore, it includes the analysis of new requirements with the help of business analysts to organize the testing approach. In case of application issues, the QA engineer should report it to the development team and co-ordinate with them for its early resolution. As an Engineer he is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering significant components of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of this role include active participation in the design of the components, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose and maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and the LSL environment. Participate on development of holistic Test Approach for the application and all subcomponents. Build functional/regression tests in Quality Center/ALM Carry out test execution and test reporting. Work on test automation to build regression automation test suite from manual tests and update them for every release. Version control artifacts using Bitbucket, Git Hub, Perforce, SVN or any other version control tools. Schedule automation scripts based on Release cycles. Must have knowledge of setting up new automation frameworks and suggest solutions for automating the existing manual processes if any in testing. Review daily smoke test reports, and Regression test reports. Analyse test failures and raise issues/defects to respective Dev teams. Update / Fix test scripts as per the functionality changes Achieve good test coverage. Quality Must have good knowledge of the software test best practises and industry standard tools Must be able to ensure the adherence to the organizational/departmental test strategy for the project Maintaining testing standards and ensure that they adhered to, as well as proactively trying to add these standards whenever possible. Taking pride in the quality of software delivered for each iteration and release. Communication Must be able to communicate effectively with other development team members, project members, managers and end users. Must be able to interact and manage all the relevant stake holders of the project including Business. Must be able to participate in the discussions within the team, communicating any issues that have a project-wide scope to the necessary level. Must be able to participate in a culture of 'knowledge sharing' with the development team. Motivation Must be self-motivated, setting a high level of professionalism and excellence. Your Skills and Experience: Must Have You are a senior QA resource with: 10-12 Years of functional Testing along with Deployment experience Good understanding and knowledge of automation testing methodologies Work experience at least in one of these -ETL/ Cloud/PoweApps project environments. Good Knowledge of the following: HP ALM, JIRA Good knowledge on testing life cycle Knowledge in test data maintenance Strong working knowledge of SQL and RDBMS databases Good knowledge on Unix /Linux environments and basic Unix shell scripting Quick learner Ability to prioritise and organise Results driven - able to deliver good quality accurate solutions to tight time-scales Conscientious - Always give 100% to tasks assigned Versatile - Able to multi-task Team Player - Must be able to work with and participate within a large professional team Professional - Expect to work the hours the job demands Good communication skills Good trouble shooting and problem-solving skills It would be desirable for the candidate to have: ISEB Software Testing Certification - Foundation /Intermediate /Practitioner Automated testing skills e.g. Selenium, HP UFT Knowledge of Unit Testing and Agile Methodologies Knowledge of scripting (VBScript, Java Scripting, Shell, Perl etc) Working experience in Automation and toolset You must be highly motivated with an eye for detail, strong communication skills and a track record of delivering successful projects into production. Experience / Qualifications: Minimum 10-12 years relevant experience as QA Engineer within the IT support industry, experience in financial industry preferred.
