Job Overview:
As an MDM Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and
maintaining Master Data Management solutions that enable an organization to
efficiently manage and maintain its critical data assets. You will collaborate with cross-
functional teams to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across various
systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
MDM Solution Design: Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to design
effective MDM solutions that align with organizational goals and data governance
policies.
Development: Develop, configure, and customize MDM solutions using MDM software
tools such as Informatica MDM, IBM InfoSphere MDM, Talend MDM, or other relevant
MDM platforms.
Data Modeling: Design and implement data models, entity-relationship diagrams, and
data dictionaries to define master data entities and their relationships.
Data Integration: Create and manage data integration processes to extract, transform,
and load (ETL) master data from source systems into the MDM repository.
Data Quality Management: Implement data quality rules, validation, and cleansing
procedures to ensure data accuracy and consistency within the MDM system.
Data Governance: Enforce data governance policies and standards to maintain data
integrity, security, and compliance with regulations.
Data Mapping and Transformation: Develop data mapping and transformation logic to
harmonize and standardize master data across the organization.
Customization and Extension: Customize and extend MDM solutions to meet specific
business requirements, including creating custom data workflows and business rules.
Integration with Other Systems: Integrate MDM solutions with other enterprise
systems, such as ERP, CRM, and BI tools, to ensure consistent data usage across the
organization.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design
documents, data models, and coding standards.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform unit testing, integration testing, and quality
assurance to ensure the reliability and performance of MDM solutions.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting
assistance to resolve MDM-related issues and incidents.
Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of MDM systems,
including database performance and ETL processes.
Training and Knowledge Sharing: Train end-users and provide knowledge sharing
sessions to ensure proper utilization of the MDM system.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related
field (Master's degree preferred).
● Proven experience as an MDM Developer or similar role, with a strong
background in data management and integration.
● Proficiency in MDM software tools such as Informatica MDM, IBM InfoSphere
MDM, or Talend MDM.
● Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration, and ETL processes.
● Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
● Experience with data quality tools and methodologies.
● Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or SQL.
● Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server,
PostgreSQL).
● Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
● Strong communication and teamwork skills.
● Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
● Relevant certifications in MDM technologies are a plus
