Job Summary: The Measurement and Billing Engineer for mechanical structure will be responsible for the accurate measurement of construction work and preparation of bills. This role is critical to ensuring that all project costs are accounted for correctly and that payments are processed in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct detailed measurement of work done on-site in accordance with project specifications and contract terms. • Prepare and review interim and final bills for submission to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements. • Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, and project managers to gather necessary data for measurement and billing. • Verify quantities and materials used in construction, comparing them with project plans and specifications. • Assist in the preparation of detailed project cost reports and forecasts. • Ensure timely submission and approval of bills to facilitate prompt payment from clients. • Handle any discrepancies in measurements or billing, resolving issues with contractors and clients as needed. • Maintain accurate records of all measurements, bills, and payment statuses. • Liaise with the finance department to ensure proper documentation and processing of payments. • Monitor ongoing projects to ensure costs remain within the budget and advise on any potential cost overruns. Qualifications: • Diploma Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • Proven experience as a Measurement and Billing Engineer or a similar role in the construction industry. • Strong understanding of construction measurement techniques, billing procedures, and contract terms. • Proficiency in Ms. Excel. • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a high level of attention to detail. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
