Our iconic route masters are integral to delivering these experiences, and we are looking for a skilled mechanic to join our team to ensure that these route masters are maintained in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair our fleet of route masters ensuring they are roadworthy, safe, and in excellent condition for daily tours.
• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on all mechanical components, including engines, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Ensure that our buses meet safety standards and comply with local transport regulations.
• Carry out emergency repairs and troubleshooting when issues arise to minimize downtime.
• Work closely with the Transport Manager to schedule maintenance and report on the fleet's condition.
• Maintain detailed records of services, repairs, and inspections for regulatory compliance and internal tracking.
• Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, keeping the buses operational for scheduled tours.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a mechanic, ideally with experience working on route masters or large vehicles (e.g., buses, trucks, or coaches).
• Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair techniques.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot mechanical issues on the go.
• Full UK driving license (HGV license would be an advantage).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for working with classic vehicles and maintaining their historical integrity.
