Job Summary: The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy construction equipment, including excavators, loaders, skid steers, and other machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Identify and replace faulty components using hand and power tools.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely equipment availability.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
• Provide technical support and advice to operators and other team members.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in diesel mechanics or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with heavy construction equipment.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
