Mechanic – Armament

Based: RAF Marham

Contract: 36 Months

Hourly rate: £22.57 Paye or £2+.34 Umbrella Inside IR35

BAE are seeking an experienced Armament Mechanic to join their team, supporting maintenance activities on Crew Escape Systems and Armament components. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing detailed maintenance, testing, and inspection activities

Experience:

• 2 years' experience working within and applying EASA/MRP Part 145 regulations.

• A personal logbook demonstrating the breadth of experience, currency, and recency in aircraft type or workshop activities.

• Experience working on complex military aircraft programmes.

• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical

• Engineering or equivalent military qualifications.

The Job:

• Perform component removals, inspections, repairs, fault rectifications, replacements, and functional/system tests.

• Ensure all work is completed in line with the Scope of Work (SOW) using approved technical information.

• Record and sign off on work completed within the appropriate toolsets and system of record.

• Provide progress reports against delivery targets to the supervisor.

• Maintain compliance with the MOE and AMC procedures, including oversight checks and tool/test equipment control.
