Job Description
Key Responsibilities
· Perform routine maintenance and servicing on a range of vehicles, including oil changes, tyre rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements
· Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and tools
· Carry out repairs and replacements of engine components, transmissions, suspension, steering, and braking systems
· Dismantle and reassemble vehicle components and engines as required
· Conduct inspections and identify wear, damage, or required adjustments
· Test drive vehicles after servicing or repair to ensure proper performance
· Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used
· Assist with cleaning, grooming, and detailing vehicles to ensure they are presented to a high standard for sale
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored
· Support the yard team with moving, parking, and positioning vehicles as required
· Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Skills and Experience
· Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
· Strong practical skills and a keen interest in vehicle maintenance and repair
· Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults effectively
· Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
· Full, clean New Zealand driver licence (or recognised overseas equivalent)
· The successful applicant will be required to undergo a police (criminal history) check
