Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team. Duties
Assist with the organization and maintenance of tools, equipment, and supplies in the workshop
Support technicians and skilled workers with basic tasks and preparations for projects
Operate hand tools and power tools safely under supervision
Help with inventory management by stocking materials and recording supplies used
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the work area
Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning
Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred to understand equipment and tools
Experience with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers is advantageous
Familiarity with power tools like drills, saws, or grinders is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team
Good communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks in a fast-paced environment
