We are hiring a Mechanic at our Roseburg, OR operation. In this role, you’ll perform repair and maintenance on the company’s fleet of heavy equipment and commercial trucks. (Second Shift 3PM-11PM Monday - Friday).
This is a union position with membership to the Teamsters Union Local 206 required after hire.
• Union Scale Wage: $33.01 per hour
• Benefits: Full union benefit package.
Major Job Responsibilities Will Include
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problem to determine the method and extent of repairs necessary.
• Perform service repairs.
• Read, interpret, analyze and apply information from technical manuals and schematics.
• Anticipate needed parts and supplies.
• Document repairs and complete required paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, safety and environmental regulations and company policy.
• Electrical, welding and air conditioning when needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
• 18 years old.
• Prior mechanic experience with heavy equipment or commercial vehicles, or similar experience or training.
• Class A or B CDL, with no major violations in the last 3 years, on or off work.
• Basic mathematical competence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
• Commitment to working safely at all times.
• Ability to work in the field, walk on uneven ground, work in inclement weather and work at night.
• Some overtime may be required.
