The City of Minot is accepting applications for the position of Mechanic in the Public Works Department. This position is open to all qualified internal and external applicants and will remain open until filled.
Nature of Work
This is journeyman level maintenance and repair work of vehicles and equipment. Please see the attached job description for complete details.
Education, Experience, Other Requirements
• Must have a CDL or be able to obtain one within one year of employment.
• Education requirements consist of graduation from high school and/or vocational school and four years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of gasoline and diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Compensation and Benefits
• The assigned salary range for the position of Mechanic under the 2026 City of Minot Annual Pay Plan is a Grade 53, which is $22.57 per hour - $33.50 per hour or $46,+44 - $6+,68+ annually.
• This is a full-time, FLSA Non-Exempt position eligible for overtime.
