Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will work on electrical sub-assemblies and follow production drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions. You will interpret electromechanical schematics, drawings, work instructions, and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed. Responsibilities include pre-cutting component cables and wires, connecting component cables and wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points. You will position and align parts in specified relationships using jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices, modify and crimp wires to meet sub-assembly requirements, and use hand tools to place small components, cables, connectors, and perform basic tests. Additionally, you will adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics, inspect completed electrical sub-assemblies, and troubleshoot and rework defects on sub-assemblies.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in San Diego, California.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a large indoor/outdoor warehouse located at 5660 Eastgate Drive, San Diego, CA. You will experience varying conditions such as heat, cold, wind, and sun daily. The position requires working Monday through Friday in either the 1st shift (5:00 am - 1:30 pm) or the 2nd shift (8:30 am - 5:00 pm). You will be part of a production team of 20 people and report to Production Supervisor Ron.
