Job Description
As a Mechanical Design Engineer at the company, you will be responsible for designing jigs, fixtures, moulds, and validating mould designs. Your role will involve conceptualizing, designing, and developing new mechanical devices or systems, translating engineering requirements into detailed designs, and ensuring they meet functional, performance, and safety specifications. You will also be tasked with preparing component and assembly drawings, understanding various component manufacturing processes, delivering designs and concepts within given timelines, and developing 2D and 3D models for various products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, design, and develop new mechanical devices or systems
- Understand drawing standards and prepare component and assembly drawings
- Knowledge of various component manufacturing processes
- Deliver designs, concepts, and drawings within specified timelines
- Develop 2D and 3D models for jigs, fixtures, toy articles, moulds, and other products
- Perform detail design of parts considering DFM, DFA, DFMEA, tolerance stack up analysis, and GD&T
- Utilize CAD software to create 3D models and 2D engineering drawings
- Perform engineering calculations and select appropriate materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring designs from concept to reality
- Participate in prototyping and testing phases
- Stay updated on the latest mechanical engineering technologies
- Communicate with customers directly after initial training
Qualifications and Skill Set:
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office and 3D modeling software
- 3+ years of experience in a similar field
- Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and solve problems effectively
- Proficiency in Gujarati, Hindi, and English languages
