Job description
Main accountabilities and tasks:
• Reverse Engineering:
• Produce Retrofit Design Layouts, calculations, manufacturing drawings, 3D models and bill of Materials to satisfy design, manufacture and customer requirements.
• Creating 3D models in Siemens NX. Should be familiar with:
• Parametric modelling. All models should be constructed in a logical way that would make it relatively simple for others to make minor changes later in the design process, e.g. increasing casing wall thickness
• Surface modelling. Must be comfortable modelling complex waterway / hydraulic surfaces.
• Using imported data to create models. .iges or .stl scan data will be used to create the models
• Drafting in NX. Must be comfortable with:
• Adhering to Sulzer drawing standards for all drawings
• Producing casting drawings that will show a pre-machined part (placeholder casting models, extracted bodies in 3D model tree etc)
• Geomagic Design-X & Control-X
• Using .stl files to compare 3D models with scanned parts for inspection purposes.
• Converting .stl files to .iges files appropriate for 3D modelling
• Minor post processing of scan files if required.
• Inspection Report preparation
• Teamcenter / SAP
• Uploading and promoting drawings / models
• Revising and updating drawings / models
• Create equipment BOMs in SAP
Desired experience and qualifications:
Work experience: 2-5 years
Expertise (e.g. professional, technical):
Education
Master or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (preferred) or Information technology with experience from pump industry
Relevant experience within related industry including knowledge of industry practices & standards.
Expertise in Design and drafting using Siemens NX
Good English skills (written and verbal)
Languages: English
