Job Description:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer at ZeQube, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of innovative solutions. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing mechanical designs from concept to production. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with R&D teams to conceptualize and develop new product designs that meet customer requirements and market demands.
- Utilizing CAD software (such as SolidWorks, Fusion360, AutoCAD, etc.) to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
- Conducting feasibility studies, simulations, and analyses to evaluate the performance, reliability, and manufacturability of design concepts.
- Generating design documentation, including drawings, specifications, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical reports.
- Participating in design reviews and providing technical expertise to ensure designs meet regulatory standards, industry best practices, and quality standards.
- Supporting the transition of designs from prototype to production, including collaboration with manufacturing teams to optimize processes and resolve any design-related issues.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance product performance, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
- Keeping abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in mechanical design engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in sheet metal/ plastic product design.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct simulations and analyses.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials selection.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and certification processes (e.g., ISO, ASME, ASTM).
- Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM). GD&T and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
