Job Summary:
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, detailing, and coordinating HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems. The role involves preparing layouts, performing load calculations, and ensuring coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP teams for seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and prepare HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting system layouts using AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP
• Perform load calculations and system sizing using HAP / Dialux
• Prepare shop drawings, schematics, and coordination drawings
• Coordinate with architects, structural, and MEP teams to resolve design conflicts
• Conduct clash detection and coordination using Navisworks
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and mechanical codes
• Assist in material take-offs, documentation, and project reporting
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, HAP/Dialux, Navisworks
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting system design
• Understanding of MEP coordination and integration
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
Education:
• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / HVAC / Mechanical & Plumbing Engineering or equivalent
