About the Role:
As our Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of instrument design and analysis. You'll use your expertise in CAD and simulation software to create high-performance instruments tailored to our specific needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct stress and strain analysis using advanced simulation software
- Create detailed CAD designs for custom instruments
- Lead the development of in-house instrumentation projects
- Specify optimal dimensions and materials for peak instrument performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Proficiency in FEA software for stress/strain simulations (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, Abaqus)
- Strong understanding of materials science and selection
- Hands-on experience in instrument design and fabrication
Preferred Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) or equivalent
