Iskraemeco India Pvt Ltd. at Kolkata is looking for Lead Mechanical Designer for Kolkata.
Total Years of Experience -7-12 Yrs (FRESHERS shouldn't apply)
Job Locations -Kolkata (WFO)
Educational Qualification -BE/BTECH. (7-12 years) or Diploma (10-15 years) in Mechanical Engineering with experience of working in industrial electronics industry preferably Energy Metering
Responsibilities: -
• Design and development of smart meter products including communication modules as per Indian metering standards (IS) and IEC standards.
• Prototype development and verification for design compliance.
• DFA and DFM with suppliers for plastic and metal parts.
• Working closely with hardware designers, layout engineers for hardware-mechanical integration
• Creation of 2D drawings of components, sub-assemblies and products.
• Performing tolerance analysis for part and assembly level
• Material selection for plastic and metal parts as per product requirement
• Verification and validation of parts & sub-assembly and product.
Skills:-
• Design and development of plastic & metal parts for electro-mechanical products.
• Expertise in the use of 3D modelling software Preferred (Solidworks).
• Knowledge of mould flow result interpretation & basic mould design
• Experience of working closely with local and global suppliers for prototypes and design optimization.
• In-depth understanding of Machining parts, Surface treatments, finish / coatings (Metals), joining techniques viz. Soldering, Brazing, Riveting, Crimping, and other manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of good drafting practice including geometric tolerance processes, and technologies.
• Knowledge of IS and IEC standards related to smart meters will be preferred.
• Knowledge of Material Selection
