The Opportunity

We are looking for a junior to intermediate level Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join our current group of passionate engineers, designers and project managers. This role will be Brisbane based.
Key Responsibilities
Import & manipulate vendor drawings/models.
Produce detailed mechanical drawings/models including P&ID’s.
Export equipment/piping quantities.
Collaborate with Mechanical/Process engineers to deliver plans for construction.
Support project teams with documentation, revisions and coordination of drawings/models.
Establishing & maintaining design templates and drawing standards.
About you
You’ll be seeking fulfilment through autonomy, career flexibility, and working for a business that provides purpose and relevance in what you do. With outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence and drive successful project outcomes, you’ll have experience working in a consulting environment, delivering projects as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-office team.
Qualifications
Relevant TAFE qualifications, diploma, or degree in drafting, engineering, or design
Skills and experience
Experience with CAD and Autodesk Plant 3D for piping and equipment modelling
Familiarity with technical drawings
Strong attention to detail
Well‑developed verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team
Mindset and behaviours
Safety‑first, risk‑based approach to all design delivery
Commitment to working safely within the company’s HSEQ systems
Enthusiastic and motivated to learn from peers and senior team members
Desirable
Interest or experience in water and wastewater treatment and pipeline design
