OctoLife is a startup founded by serial entrepreneurs with a mission to build the worlds most efficient
and sustainable cooling products. In a rapidly warming world, OctoLife is on a mission to democratise
access to cooling solutions to 5 billion residents of the developing world. This is one the biggest
challenges facing humanity, and core to OctoLifes existence.
Headquartered in Bangalore, the R&D and product development of Octolife is based out of New Delhi
Primary responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for engineering design and analysis of new air conditioning
product(s).
Mathematical modelling of thermodynamic and air conditioning systems
Create and maintain engineering documentation
Experimental validation of analytical models
Develop design tools based on analytical and math models
Education: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering must/ Masters is plus
Technical skills:
1-2 years of experience in thermal modelling of systems
Candidate must have good grasp of basic engineering science and thermodynamics.
Working knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems
Demonstrated experience of analysis and physics/ math modelling of engineering systems
Other Required Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with
technical as well as non-technical audience.
Good organisational skills and a willingness to shoulder responsibility and grow professionally.
Ability to work in a team setting as well as handle projects independently.
Should be open and excited about tackling problems outside of the job description.
