Mechanical Engineer – Design & Construct HVAC
We are a fast-growing commercial mechanical services contractor delivering complex design & construct HVAC projects across Victoria and South Australia.
Due to continued growth and a recent internal vacancy, we are seeking an 2 experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our high-performing team. This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of design, coordination, and delivery on major commercial projects.
About the role
• Lead HVAC design on commercial D&C projects from concept through to completion
• Perform heat load calculations, equipment selection and system design
• Produce and review mechanical drawings, schematics and specifications
• Work closely with Project Managers, Estimators and site teams
• Attend design meetings with builders, consultants and developers
• Value engineer solutions to improve cost, performance and constructability
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning
• Assist in managing subcontractors and suppliers
About you
• Mechanical Engineering degree
• Minimum 5+ years experience in commercial HVAC design
One position open for a 2+years experience
• Proven Design & Construct project experience is essential
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and NCC requirements
• Experience with VRF, chilled water, heat recovery and ventilation systems
• Confident communicator who can deal with consultants and clients
• Practical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
