Your Role
There is a position vacant for an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician. This role is responsible for operating a feed mill and providing mechanical support to maintain plant, machinery and equipment in excellent working condition.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operate the mill
Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure maximum production output
Install new and modified mechanical assemblies and components
Manage and oversee the inspection and maintenance of mill machinery, equipment and vehicles
Verify that machines and completed work adhere to specifications, regulations and contractual requirements.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to review and interpret the data, computations and diagrams, ensuring they meet requirements and standards.
Recommend improvements in processes, design and operations based on site observations and feedback.
Ensure all operations are performed safely and in accordance with company workplace health and safety requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, it is important that you can address the followings:
A minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required. A bachelor degree is a plus.
At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the field
Knowledge of engineering principles that demonstrate experience in effective diagnostic and solutions-focused outcomes
Experience in maintenance and repair of heavy equipment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong understanding of workplace, health and safety in a Manufacturing environment
Have extensive experience with computer systems
Ensure safety and cleanliness
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Supplementary Pay:
Overtime pay
