Job Description
Mechanical fitter responsibility assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment.
Assembling Machinery: They assemble machines and equipment according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Installing Equipment: Mechanical fitters install machinery and equipment on-site, ensuring that it operates correctly and safely.
Performing Maintenance: They conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure that it operates efficiently and safely. This may involve inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as necessary.
Diagnosing Problems: Mechanical fitters troubleshoot machinery and equipment to identify and diagnose problems. They use a variety of tools and techniques to determine the cause of malfunctions and implement solutions to resolve them.
Repairing Equipment: When machinery breaks down or malfunctions, mechanical fitters are responsible for repairing or replacing faulty components to restore functionality.
Operating Machinery: In some cases, mechanical fitters may be required to operate machinery to test repairs or perform maintenance tasks.
Ensuring Safety Compliance: Mechanical fitters adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. They may conduct risk assessments, implement safety measures, and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
