About the role
The Mechanical Fitter role is a Full-time position, based at Oxley, QLD. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor at our PGH Bricks manufacturing site, you will be working on a 12-hr day roster (2x Days 6am-6pm,2x Night 6pm-6am, 4 off) assisting with general maintenance and breakdown work.
Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or similar, have good attendance and have a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintaining operational machines in our PGH Bricks manufacturing site.
Complete planned maintenance tasks.
Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your supervisor.
Mechanical Fitting maintenance activities related to Clay extrusion equipment, mixers, crushers, conveyors, gearboxes/drive assemblies, bearings, rollers etc.
Basic weld repairs.
Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
