Minara Resources has an opportunity for a skilled Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitter to join our team located at our Murrin Murrin Operations.
Minara Resources is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role
The successful person will be responsible for undertaking planned & reactive breakdown maintenance work in our process plant. You will have experience working on a wide variety of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, fixed plant piping, valves and be familiar with laser alignment procedures. Previous experience with high pressure & high temperature Autoclaves will also be an advantage for our Refinery Area.
Ideally you will have experienced sizer screens, mills, thickener tanks & related agitators, and various pumps. Experience with HPAL Autoclaves is highly desirable for this role for our Ore Leach area.
About You
This role would suit a driven Mechanical Fitter with previous experience working in a similar hydrometallurgical process plant who is looking for job security and career opportunities. You will also have:
Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification (Essential)
A current and valid manual Australian Driver’s licence
Proven experience with centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
Proven experience working with all types of fixed plant piping, valves, and laser alignment
Ideally have experienced sizer screens, mills, thickener tanks & related agitators, and various pumps. Experience with HPAL Autoclaves is highly desirable for this role.
Previous Autoclave experience (desirable)
Experience working with area permit systems; safe work instructions and hazard identification
Strong communication skills & excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving abilities.
