Mechanical Labourer

Position Overview:

Our team has a Mechanical Labourer opportunity and is looking for a motivated team member to work in a fast-paced boat building and repair environment. This position will be mainly outside repairing boats on the slip.

Benefits:

This position is permanent full-time. We offer a competitive wage based on experience, ranging from $18 per hour to $30 per hour, Group Insurance, paid Holiday shutdown, and a bonus of $2.50/hr if 40 are hours worked.

Work Environment:

Outside, heavy lifting, work in shop, wet/damp, work from heights aboard fishing vessels.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties can include CSI inspection, pipe work, fiber glassing, carpentry, removing props rudders and shafts, grinding and painting, pressure washing hulls, pipe fitting. There may also be some electrical, rigging, grinding, glassing, working on pumps, and installation of equipment.

Education / Skills Requirements:

- High School diploma or equivalent

- Dependable, organized and a team player

- Mechanically inclined, organization skills, numeracy, and effective oral communication skills

- Valid driver's license (for offsite work, transportation provided to and from Belliveau shipyard to offsite worksite)

- Steel toed boots (all other PPE is provided)

Experience:
