The role
We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. You’ll bring either a mechanical trade qualification with EST/electrical certification or be a qualified electrician with strong mechanical experience. This dual skillset is essential to support both mechanical and electrical maintenance across our site.
This role requires a hands-on, self-driven approach to managing both preventive and reactive maintenance tasks. You’ll be responsible for planning your own schedule, coordinating contractors for larger jobs, and ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard. Experience with SAP or similar CMMS platforms is highly valued for managing work orders and asset history. A solid understanding of R&M budget management is essential to support cost-effective maintenance decisions.
Key responsibilities:
Plan and manage your own maintenance schedule
Perform preventive and reactive maintenance tasks
Coordinate contractors for larger jobs
Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
Use SAP/CMMS to manage work orders and asset history
Support R&M budget decisions and spare parts inventory
Apply strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Collaborate with production and technical teams to reduce downtime
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What you’ll bring:
Mechanical or electrical trade qualification (dual skillset preferred)
High computer literacy (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Experience with SAP or similar CMMS platforms
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
