Title: Mechanical Project Engineer
Location: Chennai
Type: Full-time/Permanent position
Client: Direct client.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Should have 5 to 10 years’ experience. 5+ years of design experience into Water supply system, sewerage collection & Storm Water Drainage.
• Knowledge of analytical software (Water Gems, Sewer gems, EPANET, Water CAD, Sewer CAD, Storm CAD, water hammer etc.) is compulsory.
• Familiarity and application of IS codes and standards and American, British, European codes of practices. Must have strong time-management skills and maintain focus and discipline.
• Design Engineer shall understand the project requirement based on the scope of work and deliver the design calculation & drawings in the scheduled time.
• Producing technical specification, Purchase Requisitions & Schedules for mechanical equipment’s.
• Coordinating with client’s/ consultants for approval of design & documents.
• A sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application in water, water treatment plant & Pumping stations
• Experience in the designing of Pumping main, Gravity main & Distribution network (Water Gems/ EPANET).
• Experience in CFD & Surge Analysis (SAP/Water Hammer)
• Experience in Reservoir & Pump house calculations.
• Possess the knowledge of various Mechanical equipment’s used in water industries.
• Familiar with working to National & International codes & standards relevant to Water industry
• Preparation of General Arrangement drawing for piping & mechanical equipment, Isometric drawings, P&IDs, PFDs etc
