• JOB DESCRIPTION -
• Mechanical Seals Service Technician (Assembly Operator) -

Service Technicians are responsible for Inspect, diagnose, record, report preparations and perform major and minor repair work on all types / design of pumps, all types of mechanical seals, couplings, gear boxes, hydraulic equipment, compressors, controls, valves, and related mechanical equipment.
- Must have extensive pump experience, stripping, repairing, assembling, and testing.
- Good knowledge of pump commissioning and installations at PLANT site.
- Good knowledge / understanding of all types of mechanical seals stripping, repairing, assembling, and testing.
- Good knowledge of lathe machine, milling machines, power tools and must be able to use them to complete jobs.
- Able to work at site or workshop.
- Good fault-finding ability.
- Must be a hands-on person.
- Must be deadline orientated.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a hands-on mechanical technician.
- Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations always.
- Communicate effectively with fellow staff members.
- Must be energetic, go getter.
- Must be physically fit and in good health.
- Must have 5+ years of experience working on rotating equipment.
- Must have 5+ years of experience performing maintenance repairs on pumps, replacing seals, changing bearings, read a bearing chart, doing reverse alignment with dial indicators, or opta-line, measure with outside micrometer, dial callipers, inside micrometres and replacing motors.
- Possess 5 years of experience reading mechanical blueprints.
