Mechanical Systems Designer Wanted
Cure Talent is delighted to partner with a rapidly growing MedTech Design House in Glasgow. This innovative company specializes in designing and developing Medical Devices, working with providers to create revolutionary solutions.
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Systems Designer to drive forward ongoing projects, taking the lead on devising technical solutions to complex challenges.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Medical Device Design, with experience leading projects from start to finish. Preferably, specific experience would be with Plastic Injection Moulded Devices.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading projects in the development of products, mechanisms, and sub-assemblies.
Performing tolerance analysis to ensure high-quality, robust design of complex mechanical systems and components using tools such as FMEA, CFD, and computer simulation.
End-to-end project management of multiple projects from concept through to manufacture.
Rapid prototyping, functional lab testing, and analysis of test data.
Collaborating with external manufacturing partners and suppliers.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
Proven experience covering the product design lifecycle and a degree qualification in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
Knowledge and experience of Design Control, DFM, Design Transfer, Verification & Validation, Risk Management, Usability, and Human Factors.
Experience and knowledge of the requirements of ISO 13485, ISO 14+71, and IEC 62366-1.
Proven experience in developing plastic injection moulded components.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably Inventor, CREO, or SolidWorks).
Compensation Package: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
