Job Title: Mechanical Technician – Maintenance of O&M of ASRS and Conveying Systems
Location: Bhachhau, Gujarat
Qualifications
• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Ability to handle electrical aspects as well, demonstrating double competency.
Experience
• Skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician with minimum 5 years of experience with AWS, ASRS systems, automated conveyor systems, and AMC/O&M services.
Key Responsibilities
• Proven experience in maintaining and repairing ASRS systems, conveyors, cranes, hoists, and other mechanical equipment.
• Regularly work on-site at various operational facilities to perform maintenance tasks, address equipment issues, and ensure continuous operation.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance and inspections as part of AMC agreements to ensure all equipment meets performance and safety standards.
• Work in a range of industrial environments, including warehouses, manufacturing plants, and other facilities where ASRS, conveyors, cranes, and hoists are utilized.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
• Handle O&M Shift activities and reporting and coordinate with customers, the Bastian Lead/Reporting Manager, and the Bastian Spare Parts Division for spare parts requirements, ensuring smooth and trouble-free operation of Bastian systems.
• Provide stop-gap coverage for O&M Technician on leave for more than 6 days across PAN India O&M locations until the original resource returns.
• Carry out site PM & O&M activities, coordinating with internal departments, vendors, and suppliers to resolve major issues and breakdowns.
• Support to prepare various reports including RCA, Why/Why analyses, and SOPs.
• The role may involve working in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions. Occasional overtime or on-call duties may be required.
