Fulltime Mechanical Trade Assistant Required
Roster: 2:1 NS/DS
Start: ASAP
Location: Goldfields - Mobile Maintenance

We operate in open cut mining systems across multiple pits following the gold deposits to maximise gold recovery. The operations and facilities had workers in mind when they were designed and constructed. We are a small tight-knit 200+ person camp—with only around 170 people on-site at any time. The camp offers outstanding amenities: high-quality meals, comfortable accommodation, a gym, and a lit walking trail to support your wellbeing. With our own airstrip just a short flight from Perth, convenience and comfort are built in.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Assist Heavy Diesel Fitters with the maintenance, repair, and servicing of mobile plant equipment (e.g. dump trucks, graders, loaders, excavators).
Prepare work areas, tools, and parts prior to maintenance tasks. Clean, inspect, and organise tools and equipment after use.
Carry out basic mechanical tasks, such as removing panels, draining fluids, and replacing filters.
Operate forklifts, telehandlers, and other workshop equipment to move parts and components.
Maintain workshop cleanliness and organisation to ensure a safe working environment.
Assist with stock control by checking, receiving, and storing parts and consumables.
Complete basic documentation, job cards, and safety checks as required
Adhere to all site safety procedures, including PPE requirements, hazard reporting, and safe work practices.
Participate in toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and ongoing training as directed.
Perform other general workshop duties as required to support the maintenance team.
What You Bring
Previous FIFO experience in a mining or workshop environment and the ability to follow instructions, work to deadlines, and complete tasks unsupervised when required.
Familiarity with mobile plant equipment (dump trucks, loaders, graders, excavators)
Basic mechanical aptitude — ability to use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
Experience assisting trades such as Heavy Diesel Fitters in servicing, repairs, and maintenance.
Strong focus on safety, hazard awareness, and adherence to procedures.
Current manual drivers licence (HR preferred)
Recent National Police Clearance suitable for a gold mine
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and ******* screen.
