Job Description
• Develop detailed mechanical designs and 3D models using SolidWorks for various applications, including electromechanical systems.
• Apply knowledge of gears and motors in designing transmission systems, including gear trains, motors (AC/DC, stepper, and servo), and other power transmission components.
• Create prototypes of mechanical systems and components, conduct simulations, and perform physical testing to verify designs meet functional and safety standards.
• Work on integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components into cohesive systems, ensuring seamless functionality.
• Maintain accurate documentation of designs, testing protocols, and modifications. Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, software engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product development.
• Proactively identify opportunities for system improvements and work towards enhancing design efficiency, product quality, and manufacturing processes.
• Provide troubleshooting support for production and maintenance teams, diagnosing issues related to mechanical systems and providing recommendations for fixes.
Key Skills and Qualifications:-
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling, simulation, and analysis is essential.
• Strong understanding of gears, motors, and mechanical power transmission systems.
• Hands-on experience with designing and testing electromechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, mechanical schematics, and CAD models.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in system design and integration.
• Familiarity with mechanical fabrication techniques like CNC machining, 3D printing, and prototyping is a plus. Experience with control systems, sensors, and actuators is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:-
• Experience with gear design and motor selection for industrial or robotic systems.
• Familiarity with mechanical simulation software and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools.
• Knowledge of mechatronic system integration with electrical and control systems.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
