The Lash Shop is a science-driven, innovation-focused beauty brand specializing in professional lash and brow products, training, and education. We’re looking for a creative, proactive, and highly organized Media Specialist to join our in-house team.
Position Overview
The Media Specialist will be responsible for creating, filming, and editing content; managing social media strategy; designing marketing materials; creating email marketing campaigns; and handling website visuals and updates. This role demands exceptional organization, strong prioritization skills, clear communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and able to identify and act on business needs without being prompted. Experience in the beauty industry is required.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Editing
Plan, film, and edit high-quality videos and photos for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.
Create visually engaging graphics, marketing PDFs, and promotional materials using Canva, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
Confidently appear and speak on camera for educational and promotional content.
Social Media, Email Marketing & Campaigns
Develop and implement social media content plans aligned with brand strategy.
Schedule posts, monitor engagement, and maintain a consistent brand voice.
Create and manage email flows, email campaigns, and newsletters to engage and convert audiences.
Support marketing initiatives such as product launches, ambassador programs, and event promotions.
Website Management
Design and update website graphics, banners, and product visuals.
Manage website content updates, product listings, and landing pages (Shopify experience preferred).
Ensure website visuals align with ongoing campaigns and promotions.
Collaboration, Organization & Adaptability
Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Maintain strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities at once.
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and event schedules.
Proactively identify opportunities and take initiative without waiting for direction.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in media creation, video production, and social media management.
Experience in the beauty industry is required.
Proficiency with Canva, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other editing tools.
Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and social media trends.
Confident on camera and able to create polished, engaging content.
Skilled in creating PDFs, marketing assets, and website visuals.
Experience with website updates and CMS platforms.
Knowledge of email marketing platforms and experience building automated flows.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Flexible to work occasional evenings/weekends for events and able to travel to the workplace.
Additional Information
This is an in-house position — remote work is not available.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility for events.
Probation Period: 6 months.
Responsibilities may evolve based on business needs.
