Medical Collections Representative
Position Overview
Serve as an advocate for patients, persistently following up on medical claims and invoices for critical medical treatment.
Key Responsibilities
• Collect reimbursement from health plans, medical insurance companies and hospitals.
• Provide guidance on medical terminology and assist in the interpretation of benefits and claims documentation.
• Utilize software systems such as: Microsoft Office and Availity for data entry and claim management.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with medical reimbursement and collections processes.
• Strong understanding of medical records management and insurance protocols.
• Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and various health plans.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively advocate for patients.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, hospital collections, and ICD-10 coding is preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Benefits
• Base Hourly rate of $25/hr + Quarterly Bonus Incentive = $55,000 - $75,000
• Flexible schedule: select your desired start time 6 AM - 8 AM
