Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Content Editor to join our team. As a key member of our editorial department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of medical content.
Job Description
As a Senior Copy Editor, you will be working closely with healthcare professionals to create engaging and informative content. Your primary responsibility will be to copy-edit content with a focus on healthcare professionals, utilizing your expertise in US English and AMA style of medical writing editing.
You will be responsible for all copy editing-related aspects of each assigned project, adhering to style guides and technical specifications. This includes annotating source references, performing QA checks, and ensuring that all copy is accurate, clean, well-organized, and meets high standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years' copy-editing experience with 1-2 years' experience in mentoring junior copy editors for pharmaceutical/medical writing industries, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
• Strong copy-editing skills: spelling, punctuation, grammar, fact checking, proofreading, attention to tone, and deep knowledge of AP and AMA style.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
• Independent and innovative self-starter.
• Excellent medical literature retrieval and evaluation skills.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and G Suite (Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar).
• Experience in content management systems and ELS certification preferred.
