Responsibilities:

• Maintain quality control by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance, and ensuring accurate and reliable test results.
• Serve as a technical resource by participating in staff training sessions, providing guidance to junior technicians, and ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols at MiracleHealth Hospital.
• Identify and communicate abnormal patient conditions by alerting supervisory personnel to ensure timely intervention and care.
• Detect the presence or quantity of drugs in the patient's system by performing accurate tests, supporting the diagnostic process.
• Operate chemistry equipment to provide test results that assist in patient diagnosis and treatment, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Ensure patient safety by completing blood typing, antibody screening, and compatibility testing, following MiracleHealth Hospital's protocols.
• Contribute to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized laboratory space.
• Maintain patient confidentiality by keeping laboratory information secure and in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Support laboratory operations by ensuring that all instruments are calibrated, maintained, and functioning correctly to support daily operations at MiracleHealth Hospital.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.
• 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably in a hospital like MiracleHealth Hospital.
