Medical Lab Technician SAVE

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, analyzing test results, maintaining laboratory equipment, and adhering to laboratory safety protocols. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Collect and prepare blood, urine, and other bodily fluids for laboratory analysis
Perform laboratory tests using automated and manual equipment
Analyze test results and report them to physicians and other healthcare providers
Identify and interpret abnormal test results and notify physicians of any critical results
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
Follow strict safety protocols when working with potentially hazardous materials such as blood and other bodily fluids
Maintain accurate records of all laboratory tests and results
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to discuss patient results and make recommendations for further testing or treatment

Requirements:

Associate's degree in medical laboratory technology or a related field
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent certification
Knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and procedures
Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology or a related field
Previous experience working as a Medical Laboratory Technician
Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic health records (EHR)
