Medical Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities: --------

• Collect patient body fluid, tissue or blood samples using principles of sepsis

• Manage and supervise activities of other laboratory assistants and staff

• Conduct chemical analysis of medical samples using an automatic analyzer or microscope

• Maintain strict laboratory QC standards, including regular equipment function verification, equipment calibration and ongoing troubleshooting efforts

• Respect strict adherence to patient confidentiality

• Label, sort and check specimens and organize all information into the computer system

• Serve as a resource for all members of the staff, which includes answering questions when asked and participating in any educational opportunities as they arise

• Identify any abnormal conditions within patients, inform the proper personnel of the abnormality and work to come up with a solution

• Inform patients of any abnormalities within their conditions and inform them of the proper steps to take for treatment

• Create a safe environment for everybody by keeping work areas clean and ensuring none of the medical equipment becomes contaminated

• Maintain database within blood bank and prepare transfusions

Education / Qualification: ---------------

• Associate degree required (Bachelor's degree preferred) DMLT, B.Sc (MLT)

• 2+ years' laboratory experience

• Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality

• Willing to meet on-call obligations as needed

• Ability to communicate effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Regular / PermanentSalary: INR10,000.00 - INR15,000.00 per monthSchedule:

• Day shift
