Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors warmly at the front desk, providing excellent customer service
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems such as Epic and Dentrix
Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, verifying patient information and insurance details
Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Collect payments and process billing as needed
Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow throughout the day
Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and office policies
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Assistant preferred
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Strong knowledge of medical terminology
Experience working office management software
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Prior office experience in healthcare settings is highly desirable
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
