Job Description
Seva Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated, organized, and experienced Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional front desk support, manage electronic medical records, and ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced family practice, walk-in, and urgent care setting. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about healthcare administration and patient service.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner
Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries
Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems such as Epic and/or Dentrix
Verify patient insurance details and assist with billing and administrative procedures
Prepare, organize, and manage medical documentation and correspondence
Perform administrative duties including data entry, filing, scanning, and faxing
Ensure strict compliance with patient confidentiality and privacy regulations
Support physicians and clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed
Maintain an efficient and organized front desk environment
Qualifications
Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program or related education
Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate
1–2 years of experience in a medical clinic, urgent care, or hospital setting
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Dentrix, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage a busy front desk and multi-line phone system
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Availability for evening and weekend shifts
