Our areas of diagnostics and therapeutics include echocardiography, exercise stress testing, 24 and 48 hour holter monitoring, pulmonary function testing, level 1 and level 3 sleep testing, 24 hour BP monitoring, CPAP and BiPAP therapy, respiratory home care and home oxygen therapy and allergy testing.

Job Summary:
PulseAir Heart & Lung Center is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team on a Temporary full-time position. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for reception/referral coordinator duties.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records.
The MOA welcomes patients in a friendly and professional manner and follows the check-in policies and procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic waiting room and front end.
Uses Healthquest to arrive patient’s and update chart information.
Prepare patient charts depending on their appointment type.
Book patient appointments in a timely manner, maintaining an up-to-date worklist.
Answers incoming phone calls and answers questions, providing excellent patient care.
Scanning and linking patient documents into charts and auditing to ensure accuracy.
Maintains patient privacy and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Works with an interdisciplinary team and other technical staff to provide optimal patient care.
Qualifications:
Completion of a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) program or equivalent.
At least 1 Year Previous experience working in a healthcare or medical office setting is preferred. (pulmonology/cardiology clinic knowledge is an asset)
Knowledge of CPAP equipment is an asset.
Excellent computer knowledge and data-entry skills. (Healthquest/Microquest knowledge is an asset).
Detail oriented, good planning and strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
