Cityedge Vision Centre is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as our next front desk adminsitrative assistant!

As a busy specialty medical practice, you will need to have excellent organization and communication skills, experience with electronic medical records, the ability to document accurately and efficiently, and be motivated to learn and apply new knowledge and skills to succeed in the role. You will be expected to be able to multi-task and keep pace with the needs of patients, pracitioners, your team members and management. You will be the sole full-time office administrator, therefore, reliability and punctuality are essential. You have to be available to open the clinic as early as 7:20am at least once per week and most often by 7:50am. You will need to have some flexibilty with your end of day hours as you may be expected to stay until last patient leaves.

We have lots of tools to support you and help you excell - electronic medical records, voicemail to email, built-in patient email reminders and communication system, a well organized cloud storage with templates and patient information sheets, an informative website with access to printable materials for patients, efax, electronic prescriptions and we are always striving to make improvements. We also have a wonderful team of other healthcare professionals and allies who are kind, knowledgable, approachable and respectful and we'd like to ensure we bring in the right person to work with all of us and our patients. We treat each other like family and this our home away from home in many respects. We'd also like to try to hire local if we can from our neighbourhood of Stittsville or surrounding communities whenever possible.

Our medical office assistants are responsible for a wide range of office needs including triaging patient, registration and check-out process, referrals, scheduling, communications with patients and other healthcare providers, sending and receiving reports. Our admin team also work in close collaboration with our ophthalmic technicians and ophthalmologist.
