Job Description
• Gradually increasing administrative duties for clinic operations
• Scheduling patient appointments
• Managing phone inquiries
• Managing patient charts in our EMR
• Overseeing clinic opening and closing procedures
• Supporting other duties as directed by the clinic manager
Work Location:
On-site at CardiologyOne in 8-hour workdays, weekdays only.
Candidates must be able to reliably commute or be prepared to relocate to Calgary, Alberta, prior to the start date.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma, MOA Certificate, and BCLS Certification required.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with booking in a medical facility.
• Ability to work under very little supervision as well as work effectively in a team environment.
• Able to maintain poise under pressure, be able to prioritize and organize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Requires data entry skills in a Windows environment.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively using the English language.
• Accurate and proficient keyboarding skills minimum 40 wpm required.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in health care or medical office setting preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with cardiology or cardiac surgery experience.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional image, manage stressful situations with empathy and to remain calm, courteous, sensitive, and tactful at all times.
• An excellent attendance record, reliability and personal suitability must be demonstrated through your employment references.
• New employees must provide a criminal records check (at their own expense). Smoking restrictions are in effect. Dress code includes scrub uniforms in the clinic.

• Full vaccination recommended as per Alberta Health Services guidelines
• Applicants must have Canadian work experience or have graduated from a Canadian institution.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
