NeuroLinks is a specialized psychiatric center in Nanaimo offering advanced, evidence-based treatments for mental health disorders, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and ketamine therapy. Position: Medical Office Assistant / TMS Technician

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented medical office assistant/technician to support our patients and clinical team. In this dual role, you will be an integral part of the treatment process—facilitating a welcoming environment while assisting in the delivery of innovative psychiatric care.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and support patients with empathy and professionalism.
Schedule and coordinate appointments efficiently.
Administer TMS treatments (following thorough paid training).
Assist patients with completing psychiatric rating scales and clinical questionnaires.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Collaborate with mental health professionals to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Empathetic and patient-focused with strong attention to detail.
Professional, punctual, and dependable.
Previous experience working with patients experiencing anxiety and depression is an asset.
Willingness to learn and assume responsibility for administering TMS treatments.
Ability to follow clinical protocols and work collaboratively under supervision.
Strong communication and active listening skills to reassure and support patients.
Ability to ensure patient safety and respond to inquiries confidently.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (can be completed post-hire).
Training Provided:

Comprehensive paid training in TMS administration and patient management.
Compensation:

Starting wage: $26.50/hour.
Paid lunch hour.
Commission opportunities.
Benefits:

Extended health benefits.
Paid time off (10 days annually).
Schedule:

Minimum 16 hours/week, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Regular workdays: Thursday and Friday.
Flexibility to cover shifts when the other technician is on leave.
