Full job description
Our busy clinic in Geraldton is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team.
The role is a full time position working Monday to Friday, between 7:45am-5pm with a 45 minute lunch break. Longer days means this role works a 9 day fortnight!
Role Overview:
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures.
Answering emails and phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally.
Advising patients of preparation prior to relevant scans.
Billing procedures - private, Medicare, workers compensation and DVA.
Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, radiologists, and referrers.
You will also have the opportunity to be trained as a contact centre agent to assist as required:
Answering phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally.
Multi-tasking across platforms and managing the appointment calendar
What we're looking for:
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organisational abilities to manage appointments and patient flow.
Confidence working across multiple screens and systems.
Availability to work a Saturday shifts every 6 weeks - either 9am-12pm or 8am-11am.
