About You

You love working in a specialist practice

You are an experienced medical receptionist with a passion for providing long term care for patients.

You take great pleasure in assisting patients through from the first phone call to their first visit and creating lifelong relationships.

You’ve worked in a busy medical practice and know what it takes to prioritise and finalise tasks each day.

You thrive in a busy, dynamic, professional environment, surrounded by a team of health professionals at the cutting edge of medicine.

You enjoy working as part of a team who pride themselves on providing a professional, friendly, positive work environment for both patients and colleagues.

You pride yourself on your ability to form supportive, long term relationships with your patients, while managing workflows and priorities in a busy environment.

You have excellent attention to detail and are process oriented.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Administration Manager, your responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:

Face to face interaction with patients

Welcoming patients to the clinic in a professional, friendly and prompt manner

Ensuring all paperwork is completed fully and added to patient files

Processing correct billing including Medicare and DVA claims

Ensuring all patients have their next booking made before leaving the practice

Ensuring all procedural patients have the correct post-care bookings made

Providing back end support to practitioners and patients

Completing end of day in with excellent attention to detail, including processing Medicare claims

Answering patient enquiries via phone and email in a timely manner

Ensuring the clinic is well presented, clean and tidy at all times

Reviewing and sending letters to referring specialists

Ensuring all photographs are uploaded to the patient files

Providing administrative support to practitioners to ensure smooth running of their lists.

Confirmations appointments and taking deposits

Following up with patients regularly to ensure that they are up to date with their prescribed treatment plan

Prioritising tasks to ensure that a high quality of care is delivered to all patients
