Medical Receptionist

Sydney Street Medical has a casual Medical Receptionist position available in our busy General Practice. Experience is preferred but not necessary.

A permanent position is available for the right applicant who must be reliable, flexible & available to work the following:

2-3 days/week
Saturday (on a rotational basis)
Start & finish times range between 0730 - 1800
Leave coverage
Duties including but not limited to:

Triage and welcoming patients
Booking appointments, answering telephone calls and inquiries
Patient billing (Medicare, DVA, Work Cover) Mixed billing practice
Exemptions, reports and batching
Assisting on Accreditation policies and procedures
Scanning clinical correspondence
Checking emails/faxes and mail and taking action accordingly
General Administrative duties
Word Processing
Opening and/or closing of the practice
Setting up Doctors rooms as required
Software setup & maintenance
Cleaning as required
Our expectations for the successful candidate are as follows:

Willingness to learn & work as a team in a busy environment
Highly organised with the ability to multi-task
Exceptional customer service & communication skills
Understanding of Medicare, quality practice systems & implementation
Ability to implement & follow policy & procedures
Confident in decision making skills & working autonomously
Exceptional computer skills will be highly regarded including Best Practice software, online booking & billing systems, websites & social media.
Caring, patient & understanding with the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
