Job Description
Processes medical records requests from various sources
Maintains, updates, files, and stores all Medical Records as required
Filing and boxing batches of records to be sent away to storage facilities
Assist with gathering, processing and preparing charts/documentation needed prior to patient appointments or as part of follow ups
Assists with the review of stored records to facilitate the purge of inactive documents
Assists with preparing data for requested medical records
Assist with departmental mailings, including patient medical records. Ensures accuracy of recipient contact information and location of correct delivery
Answers correspondence in a timely manner regarding release of information from medical records
Audits records in preparation for the release of records to outside parties.
Scanning and uploading medical records, as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of all resident information and facility business
Performs other related duties as assigned
Education: High School Diploma
Candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills and must be highly detailed oriented
