We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
Perform sterilization processes on medical instruments and equipment using various techniques, including steam, chemical, and dry heat sterilization.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of sterilization equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Monitor sterilization cycles and document results accurately to maintain compliance with health regulations.
Prepare and package instruments for sterilization, ensuring proper handling and organization.
Collaborate with healthcare staff to identify needs for sterilized equipment and respond promptly to requests.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to infection control protocols at all times.
Stay updated on best practices in sterilization techniques and participate in ongoing training as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Sterilization Technology or related field is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare setting.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow strict protocols and procedures.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Previous experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided.
