Key Responsibilities:
• Design Development: Create original designs for menswear that align with the brand’s aesthetic and customer profile.
• Trend Research: Conduct market and trend research to identify key directions in colour, fabric, silhouette, and detailing for upcoming seasons.
• Fabric & Trim Sourcing: Work with sourcing and development teams to select appropriate materials and trims, ensuring both creativity and commercial viability.
• Sample Development: Partner with patternmakers and sample rooms to oversee prototype development; ensure samples reflect original design intent.
• Fit & Construction: Attend fittings and provide clear design direction for pattern adjustments and construction improvements.
• Calendar Management: Developing seasonal collections of menswear in close association with the design team – both RTW and couture.
• Design information communication: Communicating technical design information for production/customer samples. Working with production teams to ensure quality and consistency.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in menswear design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a mix of technical and creative design work.
• Deep knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and production processes.
• Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Passion for menswear and a sharp eye for detail, proportion, and innovation.
